COCONINO COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
At a regular meeting held February 18, 2003, the Board took the following actions.
Attending: Chairman Deb Hill; Supervisors Matt Ryan; Elizabeth Archuleta, and Louise Yellowman; County Manager John E. Holmes; Deputy County Attorney Richard Vihel; Clerk of the Board/Deputy County Manager Steve Peru, Chief Deputy Anna Whorton, and Deputy Sherry Cornforth. Record will reflect the absence of Supervisor Babbitt.

RECOGNITION: Resolution 2003 - 6, Coconino County Sheriff Joe Richards recognized and expressed appreciation to County employees and their families who serve in the United States Armed Forces to defend our lives and our freedom.

3. Recommendation for approval to the Department of Liquor Licenses and Control for a New Liquor License for Max E. Bacon, License #10033101, dba Don Hoel's Cabins and Canyon Market located at 9440 N. Hwy 89A, Sedona, AZ 86336. Board of Supervisors
4. Authorize the attached Amendment #866000441 ba to the NACOG/Area Agency on Aging for an additional one-time funding of $15,386, which will increase the contract amount to $324,204. Community Services
5. Approve a Cooperative Purchasing Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) with Mohave County providing a legal method for both Counties to utilize legally procured contracts from each other for the purchase of goods and services. Finance/Purchasing
6. Approve HIV Prevention Services Renewal Contract No.152028 Amendment No.3 between the Coconino County Department of Health Services (CCDHS) and the Arizona Department of Health Services for HIV Prevention Services in the amount of $62,504.90 from January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2003. 7. Resolution 2003 - 7, the grant application by Coconino County for Local, Regional, and State Parks Heritage Funds for the Fort Tuthill County Park Amphitheater Phase II Project. Parks and Recreation

9. Authorize the acceptance of Equipment Grant #2002-TE-CX-0142 for $119,202.12 from the Department of Justice (DOJ) to provide local public safety agencies with equipment for a response to a terrorism incident or other emergency. Public Works
10. Authorize the acceptance of DOJ Grant Funds Grant #202-TE-CX-0142 CFDA# 16.007 for $7,000 from the Department of Justice (DOJ) to assist local public safety agencies and organizations in Coconino County to develop and conduct emergency exercises related to Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD). 11. Award Bid 2003-03 for two (2) Conventional 10-wheel tandem axle water trucks to Cunningham Commercial Vehicles, dba Sterling Western Star of Arizona, in the amount of $266,923.56, as the lowest bid meeting all specifications. Public Works
12. Approve an Agreement for on-call professional engineering services with Woodson Engineering & Surveying, Incorporated in the amount of $30,000.00. Public Works
13. Authorize a one year contract Renewal Agreement for RFQ 2001-04 between Coconino County and the Guidance Center for the provision of intensive outpatient treatment. Superior Court
ACTION ITEMS:
COCONINO COUNTY JAIL DISTRICT BOARD OF DIRECTORS:
14. Authorize Amendment to Intergovernmental Agreement ADC Contract No. 020085DC, between the Coconino County Jail District and the Arizona Department of Corrections, to increase the number of Arizona Department of Corrections inmates housed at the Coconino County Jail, for sixty-eight (68) to eighty-eight (88) and to change the title of the Agreement from Intergovernmental Agreement to Agreement.
APPROVED ON UNANIMOUS VOTE THE ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS AGREEMENT INCREASING THE NUMBER OF INMATES FROM SIXTY-EIGHT TO EIGHTY-EIGHT.
15. PUBLIC HEARING AND CONSIDERATION OF Resolution No. 2003 - 7, Case No. A-02-01: A request for abandonment of a 709 square foot portion of Julie Lane in Twin Springs Terrace. The property is located in front of Lot 29 at the end of Julie Lane in Oak Creek Canyon, and the adjacent lot is identified as Assessor's Parcel Number 405-25-054. Applicant: Diane G.
